The Berks Family Business Alliance, a special program of the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance will host “Preparing for the Future” for family-owned businesses, 8 to 10 a.m., Center for Business Excellence, 49 Commerce Drive, Wyomissing. This event will feature expert insight from Laurel Cline of Cherry Bekaert and Brian Boland of Kozloff Stoudt as they explore the legal and long-term compensation strategies every family business should consider to protect its legacy. Berks LaunchBox and the Kutztown University SBDC will present the second session in a Spanish Language Workshop Series for Entrepreneurs, “Learn Business Basics -Take the First Step in Your Startup Journey,” being held monthly through June in Reading and Kutztown. The second session, 6 to 7:30 p.m. is – “Creating a Business Model Canvas.” A third session will be held Jan. 22, with additional dates/topics to be added.
