MOORE TWP., Pa. – A late-morning emergency call on Sunday sent firefighters rushing to a Northampton County home after smoke began pouring from a garage.
Authorities were alerted to a garage fire in the 2400 block of Keeler Road, just off Route 512, around 11:53 a.m., according to the Klecknersville Ranger Volunteer Fire Company.
Officials say the fire appears to have started near an electrical meter, causing minor damage to house.
No injuries were reported.
The house fire was under control about an hour later. Responders say the house is not livable now, as it has no electrical power.
The State Police Fire Marshal is investigating the fire. In the meantime, the affected family is staying with relatives. At this time, electrical issues are believed to be the likely cause.
Officials say the family should be able to go back to their home once the power returns.
