State police say a 27-year-old man from Allentown ran over troopers, then crashed into a building where he was ejected from his vehicle.
ALLENTOWN, Pa. — A man is dead after a police chase in Lehigh County.
Around midnight Sunday, troopers attempted a traffic stop on a truck in Allentown.
State police pursued the vehicle until it stopped near Lehigh and 29th Street.
That’s when the 27-year-old man driving allegedly drove his truck into the troopers, before taking off again.
The driver lost control and hit a fire hydrant and a utility pole before being ejected from the truck after hitting a building.
Troopers and EMS provided medical assistance to the driver; however, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
State police and Allentown police are investigating this deadly crash.
