SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA CO. (WOLF) — Scranton police are investigating an incident at a downtown high-rise on Biden Street that left at least three people injured Tuesday night.

Officers were called to the Hotel Jermyn building at 326 Biden Street in Scranton at 6:15 p.m., where the sixth floor was the focus of police activity, according to initial information from authorities. The property is a multi-story residential building in the city’s central district.

Police say at least three people were hurt and are being treated at local hospitals. The conditions of the victims have not yet been released.

Authorities confirm one arrest has been made, but no details about the suspect’s identity, possible charges, or a motive have been made public. Detectives remained on scene, interviewing witnesses and processing evidence as the investigation continued.

Police closed the area of the 300 block of Biden Street.

More information is expected to be released as the investigation develops.
