Catholic Social Services of the Diocese of Scranton provided holiday cheer for families in the Carbondale area Tuesday. Through the “Gifts for Kids” program, families of 284 pre-registered children selected gifts for their kids ahead of Christmas at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Carbondale. Winter essentials such as coats, hats, gloves and scarves, as well as stocking stuffers, were available.
