Joseph Tini, CFMP, embraces every opportunity that comes his way.
“I believe that challenges are a privilege, signaling growth and the chance to strengthen both skills and knowledge,” said the marketing communications manager at Fidelity Bank, Scranton.
He adds, “For me, maintaining physical sharpness directly translates into mental clarity, which is essential for focus and long-term success no matter the challenge at hand.”
As the marketing manager he works closely with his marketing team to execute the company’s strategic plan and collaborate with internal departments and service partners. Tini leads the efforts to generate internal and external communications, maintain brand consistency, analyze marketing data, and support initiatives across all lines of business.
“My focus is to enhance Fidelity Bank’s visibility and deepen engagement within the communities it serves,” he explains.
A graduate of Valley View High School, he earned his bachelor’s degree in communication studies with a minor in environmental geography and digital communication at Kutztown University.
He began his career in banking shortly after graduation at another local financial institution. He went on to attend the American Bankers Association Bank Marketing School in 2022 and received his Certified Financial Marketing Professional (CFMP) certificate. He was appointed to officer status at Fidelity Bank in early 2025.
Tini attributes his success to date to his personal drive to make a meaningful difference.
“I recognize that every achievement is accompanied by challenges, and I view failures as valuable opportunities for growth. By learning from setbacks and adapting to adversity, I continuously refine my approach to achieving goals,” he said.
Additionally, the young man surrounds himself with like-minded, motivated individuals which has been an essential factor in his career development, providing both inspiration and support along the way.
Tini’s family has always been at the center of everything he does. Regardless of the idea or ambition, his parents and two sisters have consistently supported him while also challenging him to strive for success.
In the community the manager volunteers at local events; he is a chamber Influencer with the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce; and contributes to local area non-profit organizations to assist those in need in the community.
In his spare time, he is a student pilot and avid outdoorsman.
“I am passionate about aviation, boating, skiing, fishing, exercising, carpentry, and spending time with family and friends,” he concludes.
Tini also is a small business owner of VESSL (Video, Editing, Social, Sales Lifestyle) where he and his business partner film and photograph objects in the marine industry from boats and yachts to fishing tournaments and short films in Maryland, New Jersey and Florida.
Tini also works with a local residential construction company.
“I have always found satisfaction in helping people in need. Whether it is building their dream deck to increase their home’s value or guiding someone to find the best bank to manage their financials, I am always pleased to shake the hand of a happy customer. Managing a business and growing my career alongside has been such a blessing and has taught me some critical time management skills,” he concludes.
