There’s a new addition to Miracle on State Street.

On Friday afternoon, Flagship City Press cut the ribbon on its new brick-and-mortar location.

Flagship City Press first opened its doors on Small Business Saturday, but on Friday, they gathered with the community to pop champagne at their grand opening.

The owners, Dena Rupp and Corinne Kraus, built their brand within the Erie community as a small card design company.

They said that it feels amazing to have a physical store, and in their words, “Become part of what’s happening in our downtown community.”

“We’ve been working on this since 2017 — I would say even before that, and then officially it was 2019 that we started Flagship, and we started popping up around, and we got really great feedback and support, so it is pretty cool to see,” Rupp said. “We said we want to open up a stationery store someday, so it’s cool to see that it’s happened.”

Kraus and Rupp designed the store to be a welcoming place where people can browse unique stationery, support independent makers, and feel connected to the growing energy on West 8th Street.
