Police say 24-year-old Damari Lipscomb shot his mother during an on-going dispute.
TEMPLE HILLS, Md. — A man has been taken into custody in Pennsylvania following a deadly shooting in Temple Hills last week. Damari Lipscomb, 24, is charged with murdering his mother, 45-year-old Adia Lipsocomb Mingo.Â
The shooting happened on Thursday morning. Prince George’s County Police officers responded to the 6900 block of Westchester Court just before 9 a.m. for a report of a shooting. Once on scene, investigators found Mingo shot inside the home. She was pronounced dead at the home.Â
Investigators later tracked Lipscomb to Pennsylvania, where he was taken into custody with the help of the PGPD Fugitive Unit, the U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force and Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force, Pennsylvania State Police and the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police.
While the investigation is still underway, police believe Lipscomb shot his mother during an ongoing dispute. He remains in Pennsylvania pending extradition to Prince George’s County.Â
