PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A 24-year-old man is behind bars in Pennsylvania after he allegedly shot and killed his mother in Temple Hills last week.
Authorities charged Damari Lipscomb with murdering his mother, 45-year-old Adia Lipscomb Mingo, inside their home on Dec. 11. Prince George’s County police said officers found Lipscomb Mingo “suffering from trauma” inside the home in the 6900 block of Westchester Court after responding to the neighborhood for a reported shooting shortly before 9 a.m.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.

After investigating further, investigators determined that Damari Lipscomb shot his mother in connection with an “ongoing dispute,” according to police.
Investigators were able to locate him in Pennsylvania, where he was taken into custody with the help of several agencies, including the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Fugitive Unit, the U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force and Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force, Pennsylvania State Police and the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police.
Damari Lipscomb remains in Pennsylvania as he awaits extradition to Prince George’s County. Officials urge anyone with information who would like to speak to a homicide detective to call 301-516-2512 or submit a tip online.
