SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — The 16-year-old killed in a Scranton shooting has been identified, and three juveniles have been interviewed.

Officers were called to the 1300 block of Bryn Mawr Street for a reported shooting victim.

On the scene, police say they found 16-year-old Dylan Smith of Taylor suffering from a gunshot wound. Life-saving measures were administered, and Smith was transported to Gesinger Community Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.

Through further investigation, officers learned the gun used in the shooting was reported to have been stolen two weeks earlier from Archbald. Police say three juveniles were interviewed, and one was charged with possession of a firearm by a minor.

Information is limited as detectives say the death investigation is ongoing. Officers ask anyone with information on the shooting to contact Scranton police.
