TEMPLE HILLS, Md. (7News) — Prince George’s County, Maryland, police say a man has been arrested and charged in the deadly shooting of his mother inside her Temple Hills home last week.
Officers were called around 8:50 a.m. Thursday to the 6900 block of Westchester Court for a reported shooting. When they arrived, police found 45-year-old Adia Lipscomb Mingo inside the home suffering from trauma. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect, identified as the woman’s 24-year-old son, Damari Lipscomb, was later located in Pennsylvania.
Police said he was taken into custody with assistance from the Prince George’s County Police Department Fugitive Unit, the U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force and Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force, Pennsylvania State Police and the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police.
Police said the preliminary investigation indicates the shooting was connected to an ongoing dispute between Lipscomb and his mother.
Lipscomb remains in custody in Pennsylvania and is pending extradition back to Prince George’s County.
