WYOMISSING, Pa. – Wyomissing Borough Council is set to vote on a new budget just days before the new year begins.

The current plan includes a 17.7%, which is down from the 22% hike the borough rejected last week.

The mayor says it’s not an increase on an entire tax bill, just the borough’s share, and he says it applies to an assessed value, not the property value.

He praised council for digging deep and finding more areas to make adjustments.

A vote on the budget is expected on Monday, December 29th, at 7 p.m.
