A dog is being credited with saving a man’s life from a fire in Erie.
The fire happened in a home on East 24th St. around 1:00 a.m. Saturday.
Kilo, a 10-year-old American Bulldog, and two men were inside the home.
“Kilo must have sensed something was wrong,” Erie Firefighters IAFF Local 293 said in a Facebook post.
Kilo woke up one of the men before the smoke and flames made it to his bedroom.
The man was able to escape. Kilo was rescued by firefighters.
Another man, 82, likely died of smoke inhalation, the coroner said.
The fire was accidental, a fire inspector said.
