LOWER MACUNGIE TWP., Pa. – Multiple 911 calls reporting fire and smoke led crews to a mobile home fully engulfed in flames early Tuesday in Lower Macungie Township.

At around 12:56 a.m., the Lower Macungie Fire Department was dispatched to the 5200 block of Brighton Ct. for a report of a dwelling fire, according to a news release from the department.

Authorities from the 911 center indicated fire and smoke visible and multiple 911 calls were being received.

Fire crews say when they arrived on scene, they noticed heavy fire coming through the roof area of the home. Multiple hand lines (essentially movable hoses) were placed in service to extinguish the fire.

The release says the home was unoccupied at the time of the fire. Two people have been displaced by the fire and are being assisted by the American Red Cross.

Several pets were rescued by fire personnel, according to fire officials.

The Emmaus Fire Department, Greenawalds Fire Department, Old Zionsville Fire Department, Vera Cruz Fire Department, and the Woodlawn Fire Department arrived on scene to help.

Authorities say the fire is currently under investigation.
