Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library has finally ‘arrived’ in Western New York. Kids under 5 will get a FREE book sent to your house if you are in the coverage area, every month from newborn to 5 years old. Already over 3,000 kids are enrolled in Erie County.
There is no catch. You just have to make sure that you are in the coverage area and then put your child’s birthday and address in.
Last year, only 3 zip codes in Western New York had the ability to sign up for the program. That is because there are local organizations who are the “hub” for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and the “hub” in Buffalo was only doing 3 zip codes to get up and running. Now, all of the zip codes in Erie County are eligible.
Here is where to apply for the FREE booksHow does it work?
You sign your kid up. Children must be younger than 5 years old. No, they don’t check, but how horrible would that be to abuse the free program. Once you put all of your child’s information in, you will get a confirmation in your email that you have applied. In a short time you will get an approval (or a denial and a reason why that you were denied) and then within 90 days you will get your first book. Then moving forward, you will get one every month per child until they are 5 years old.
Can you sign up multiple kids in the same house for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library?
Yes.
