The Erie Regional Airport Authority is excited to announce that American Airlines will begin offering once-daily service between Erie International Airport (ERI) and Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) starting May 22, 2026.
Derek Martin, Executive Director of the Erie Regional Airport Authority, shared his enthusiasm.
“The Erie Regional Airport and the community are excited about the connections to Chicago and multiple western destinations offered by American Airlines. O’Hare International Airport will provide additional travel options to our regional community.”
Tickets for this new route will be available beginning Monday, December 22, 2025, through aa.com or the American Airlines mobile app.
Jordan Pack, American’s Director of Domestic Network Planning, highlighted the benefits of the new service:
“While the holiday season is just around the corner, American is turning its attention to next summer with expanded travel options from Erie. Complementing our existing service to Charlotte, travelers can enjoy all that Chicago has to offer or connect onwards on one of our more than 500 daily flights from ORD. This puts destinations like Seattle, Denver, Phoenix, Los Angeles, and more within easy reach for locals or visitors traveling to Erie.”
The schedule will begin with a daily flight departing from Chicago to Erie on May 21, followed by daily departures from Erie to Chicago starting May 22. This addition provides both business and leisure travelers with greater flexibility and connectivity to major destinations across the country.
