BUSHKILL TWP., Pa. – Authorities are accusing a Northampton County man of home improvement fraud.
Scott Miller is charged with home improvement fraud, deceitful business practices, theft by deception, and receiving stolen property, according to a news release from the Bushkill Township Police Department.
On November 5, 2025, a resident from the 400 block of Heyer Mill Road reported a fraudulent incident involving a contractor, township police said.
Police said the victim entered into a contract with Scott Miller on Sept. 27 to construct a pole building on their property for $26,000.
A deposit of $13,000 was paid to Miller. However, over the next two months, Miller stopped communicating with the victim, failed to begin construction, and did not provide a refund, according to the news release.
