Two people are dead after being shot in Pittsburgh’s Carrick neighborhood early Thursday evening, police said.

Police and EMS responded to the 1300 block of Brownsville Road, near Linnview Avenue, after a ShotSpotter alert indicated 12 rounds fired. It happened shortly before 5:15 p.m.

Police said two men, ages 23 and 27, were found on the sidewalk and had been shot in the chest multiple times. Both were pronounced dead at the hospital.

No suspects have been identified as police continue to investigate.
