This weekend is the last chance to experience Scranton’s festive Santa Train ride, with music, activities, and Santa visits.
SCRANTON, Pa. — There is one weekend left to enjoy the North Pole Limited at Steamtown National Historic Site, aka the Santa Train. Â
The hour-long train ride is an adventure through Scranton’s historic rail yard and Nay Aug Park.  The experience begins inside the museum, where festive decorations and holiday music are on display.Â
Children can stop by the Santa Letter Station to write their wish lists. There are also interactive activities and photo ops. Â On the train, live musicians will play Christmas carols, and Santa will visit each family. Mrs. Claus gives every child a small gift. Â
All proceeds from ticket sales go to the Iron Horse Society, a nonprofit that promotes knowledge, education, and the preservation of railroad heritage at Steamtown National Historic Site.Â
