There’s new hope for patients in Pennsylvania diagnosed with neuro-degenerative diseases and their families.

Governor Josh Shapiro unveiled Friday a $5 million investment in research on neuro-degenerative diseases.

Those include Alzheimer’s disease, ALS, and Parkinson’s.

He says the funds come from the 2026 budget and will be handed out to institutions by the state department of health early next year.
