BERKS COUNTY, Pa. – Throughout Berks County, thousands experienced power outages and wind damage Friday afternoon.
In the Lyons area, the wind toppled a tree onto a trailer, trapping a person inside. Authorities say no one was injured.
In Alsace Township, a tree fell onto Gebhart School Road.
And in Union Township, a wire on the ground next to a damaged pole sparked a small fire at French Creek State Park.
Met-Ed says its crews will work around the clock to get all customers back up and running as quickly and safely as possible.
Berks County will remain under a wind advisory until 1 a.m.
