Musa Kamara delivered when Upper Darby needed it most Thursday night.
The senior forward knocked down an elbow jumper as time expired in the fourth quarter to lift the Royals to a 65-63 Central League win over Ridley.
The shot capped a wild finish after the visiting Green Raiders had tied the game moments earlier. Christopher Sizemore got a steal and buried a 3-pointer with 12 seconds to play.
Tahli Murray poured in a game-high 28 points to lead Upper Darby (5-1), with Artemus Sirleaf adding 11. Sizemore paced Ridley with 26 points, while Chase Williams chipped in 13.
Elsewhere in the Central League:
Penncrest 49, Marple Newtown 33 >> The Lions (6-1) were buoyed by a stifling defense that held the Tigers to nine points in the first half.
Mikey Mita led three Penncrest players in double figures with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Connor Cahill netted 11 points and Ryan McKee added 10.
Mike Rush scored a team-high 12 points for Marple.
Garnet Valley 52, Conestoga 49 >> Grayson Golek’s 26-point performance helped carry the Jaguars to their their fifth straight win.
Lower Merion 61, Haverford 48 >> Sam Sturman scored eight of his team-high 14 points in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough for the Fords, who were outscored 35-23 after halftime. Andrew Brown chipped in 11 points for Haverford.
Israel Ingram had all 15 of his points in the final two quarters for the Aces.

Sun Valley 55, Kennett 43 >> Aden Bambgose poured in 22 points and Zion Cauthorn paired 11 points with six rebounds for the Vanguards.
In nonleague action:
Abington Friends 54, Haverford School 50 >> Dillon Gamble paced the Fords in defeat with 20 points.
William Penn (Del.) 54, Chester 37 >> The Clippers (1-2) trailed by five at the end of three, but were outscored 14-2 in the final eight minutes. Nyrell Pray had a team-high seven points.
Girls Basketball
Lili DiTrolio and Delaney Kearney each scored 13 points as Springfield stayed unbeaten with a 40-36 win over Radnor Thursday.
Adalina DiTrolio contributed 10 points for the Cougars (6-0, 4-0 Central League).
Nyah Yao scored a game-high 19 points for the Raptors.
In nonleague action:
Academy Park 55, Carver E&S 23 >> Saiyda Hooper poured in 23 points and Shaniyah Hopkins finished with 13 for the Knights (2-6). Sianna Perkins scored 10 points and Carly Fleming added nine.
Octorara 62, Chichester 25 >> Jahiela Lyles scored nine points and Siliah Lopez added eight, but the Eagles were limited to nine second-half points as the Braves pulled away.
Boys Swimming
Luke Habich was a quadruple winner for Sun Valley during its 87-87 tie with rival Chichester.
Habich claimed victory 200 IM and 500 free, and anchored both the 200 free relay and 400 free relay for the Vanguards.
Other multiple winners for Sun Valley included Shane Williams (50 free, 200 free relay, 400 free relay), Nathan Jackson (diving, breaststroke, 400 free relay), and Brian Cassidy (backstroke, 200 free relay, 400 free relay).
For Chichester, Joseph Horner won the butterfly and Josh Parag took first place in the 100 free.
Girls Swimming
Marrah Lonnquist and Angela Taylor each were victorious in four races to lead Sun Valley over Chichester, 108-63.
Lonnquist and Taylor were members of the Vanguards’ 200 medley relay and 200 free relay. Lonnquist touched the wall first in the 200 free and breaststroke, while Taylor bested the competition in the 200 IM and 100 free.
Abigail Falcone finished first in the butterfly and was part of the Vanguards’ winning 200 medley relay and 200 free relay.
For Chichester, Julia Pfleger won the diving event and Torin Segers claimed top honors in the backstroke.
