Tony Battaglia had 28 points, including five 3-pointers, to lead his father Coach Tony Battaglia to his 400th career win in a 55-40 victory over North Pocono in a Lackawanna League Division I boys basketball opener Friday night at North Pocono.
Justin Mayers added 13 points for the Knights (2-3, 1-0), and Michael Chalk added nine.
Anthony Maros had 14 points to lead the Trojans (2-4, 0-1).
Valley View 53, West Scranton 25: At Scranton, Michael Muto, Noah Symuleski and Cash Roe each scored 13 points to lead No. 2 Valley View to a Lackawanna Division I win over West Scranton.
Muto scored 11 of his points in the first half to help stake the Cougars to a 33-12 halftime lead.
Lucio Ridore and Seamus Wallace each had six points for the Invaders.
Dunmore 59, Lakeland 45: At Lakeland, Carter Sload had 19 points, including five 3-pointers to lead the No. 3 Bucks to a Division II victory.
Brayden Canavan added 14 points, while Jimmy Clark chipped in 12 points for Dunmore (6-0, 1-0).
Cole Tonkin and Chase Rosenkrans each had 11 points for the No. 10 Chiefs (4-3, 0-1).
Susquehanna 76, Montrose 51: At Montrose, Griffin Fisk had 31 points to lead the Sabers to a Division III win.
Mason Keyes added 19 points, and Hudson Stengel chipped in 12 for Susquehanna (3-1, 1-0).
Sawyer Brown had 13 points for the Meteors (1-4, 0-1).
Blue Ridge 71, Mountain View 57: At Mountain View, Blue Ridge put five players in double figures in its Lackawanna Division III victory.
Paxton Pingarelli led the Raiders (1-0, 3-2) with 16 points. William Hobart and Jacek Motyka each scored 12 points, while Travis Rutter and Brendan Marvin added 10 points apiece. Hobart also had 12 rebounds.
Pingarelli had 11 of his points in the third quarter when Blue Ridge outscored Mountain View, 23-12, to break open a two-point halftime lead.
Hudson Bain had 26 points for the Eagles (0-1, 1-6) and Wyatt Thatcher followed with 16 points.
Lackawanna Trail 45, Carbondale Area 37: At Lackawanna Trail, Jimmy Phillips went 4 for 4 from the foul line in the fourth quarter to help the host Lions secure a Lackawanna Division III win.
Phillips finished with 18 points for No. 9 Lackawanna Trail (1-0, 5-1), which outscored the Chargers in the fourth, 14-8, to extend a two-point lead after three quarters. Carter Edwards also had four points in the fourth for the Lions.
Lucas Filipek added 10 points for Trail.
Cole Becchetti led Carbondale Area (0-1, 1-6) with 15 points.

Elk Lake lost a nonleague game at Benton on Friday night, 34-28.
Bree Hess led Benton (4-1) with 13 points, and Malaia Hart added 11 points. Hart had six points in the fourth quarter and Hess five when Benton outscored Elk Lake, 11-8, to extend a three-point lead after three quarters.
Kylie Shingler scored eight points to lead the No. 9 Lady Warriors (1-3).
