Santa’s annual visit: A tradition for over 50 years continues when Santa makes his annual stop with Mrs. Claus and elves at the East Side Hose Company 4 fire station, 458 Salem Road, on Saturday at 11 a.m. aboard Engine 21-4. Santa will visit with the children and distribute gifts at the fire station from 11-11:30 a.m., and from 11:30 a.m.-5 p.m. will canvas the community with Mrs. Claus and elves on Engine 21-4 and Tanker 21 to distribute over 750 bags of candy. Anyone wishing a special personal visit from Santa within the community can call Chief Bob Harvey at 570/840-9058.
Cash bingo: Christ the King Parish cash bingo, Feb. 1, St. Thomas Aquinas Church hall, 429 Church St., doors open at noon and bingo starts promptly at 1 p.m., 15 games with $100 prize and four special games for purchase.
