OBITUARY
William Robert Greiner , 87, affectionately known as “Bill the Barber of Down Town Swamp” has gone to his Heavenly home early Friday morning to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Bill, a lifelong resident of New Hanover was married to his wife, Sybilla for 64 years. Bill enjoyed working and socializing in his barber shop for 62 years. He was an avid tennis player since high school and the craze of pickleball took over up to his 70s. He started Bill’s Bikers – cycling for seniors, many years ago with a large group that goes weekly. To keep up with his contenders, he switched over to his E-Bike. William has been a 45 year member of Shepherd of the Hills. He leaves behind his loving wife, son Matthew Greiner, daughter Alane Knudson, and 2 grandchildren Heather Knudson Guillory and Alexander Knudson.
