Allentown firefighters Sunday morning brought a house fire under control, but not before it caused enough damage to displace residents.
The fire was reported around 10:30 a.m. in the 1800 block of Woodlawn St., according to a news release from Allentown Fire Department spokesperson Capt. Jonathan Hammel.
Responders found the fire toward the back of the home and determined nobody was inside the building.
The Red Cross will assist the displaced residents, Hammel said. The fire is under investigation by the city fire marshal.
