(WTAJ) — Tickets worth millions were sold Saturday, but the Powerball jackpot went unscathed and is now $1.6 billion — the 4th largest in the game’s history.
Powerball officials announced that eight tickets sold for the Dec. 20 drawing are worth one million dollars. They were sold in California, Florida, Iowa, Massachusetts, Michigan (2), New Hampshire and Ohio.
In Pennsylvania, five tickets won $50,000 in the standard Powerball drawing. Another two won $50,000 in the Double Play drawing. All of which matched four of the five balls and the Powerball, without Power Play.
According to the Pennsylvania lottery, more than 251,000 players won between $4 and $500.
