Casa Catrina, which announced a temporary closure earlier this month, will not reopen, its owners said.

“After much consideration, we want to share that Casa Catrina will be closing permanently,” the restaurant said Monday in a social media post. “Despite our best efforts to reopen and continue serving our community, circumstances have led us to make this difficult decision.”

Humberto and Elia Chavolla, who owned the former Fiesta Ole in Emmaus, opened Casa Catrina in 2020 at 1905 Brookside Road in Lower Macungie Township.

“We want to express our deepest gratitude to all our customers, friends, and supporters who have been with us over these six wonderful years of operation,” the couple said. “Your loyalty, kindness, and encouragement meant the world to us and made Casa Catrina a special place.”
