BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — Three people are reported injured in a multi-vehicle crash that closed the eastbound lanes of the Pennsylvania Turnpike on Monday afternoon, backing up traffic into Montgomery County, authorities said.
The Bensalem Volunteer Fire Department said that numerous fire companies are on the scene of a serious crash on the PA Turnpike just west of the Bensalem interchange.
The fire department said that the eastbound lanes are currently closed to all traffic, meaning that anyone heading eastbound must exit at the Willow Grove interchange until the accident is cleared.
Authorities said that EMS is responding. They are asking drivers to avoid the area.
