Lehigh Valley International Airport recorded its busiest November in two decades last month as 86,801 passengers traveled through the facility, marking an 8.8% increase from the same period in 2024.

The November passenger count represents the highest activity for the month since 2004, according to the Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority.

“Travel industry forecasts pointed to one of the busiest holiday seasons on record at airports nationwide. We’ve experienced this firsthand with the steady rise in passenger activity at ABE,” said Thomas R. Stoudt, executive director of the Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority.

Individual airlines showed mixed performance. Allegiant led growth with a 20.5% increase in passengers, while American Airlines rose 6.5%. Delta declined 3.9% and United dropped 23.3%.

The airport also processed 22,033,758 pounds of air cargo in November, a 4.4% increase from November 2024.

Travelers preparing for upcoming trips can attend a Fear of Flying Seminar at the airport on Jan. 6, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

The TSA recommends travelers bring REAL ID compliant documents to checkpoints and pack liquids, aerosols, and gels in containers of 3.4 ounces or less in carry-on bags. Those traveling with gifts should use gift bags or boxes with removable lids to avoid having wrapped presents opened during security screening.
