A man is recovering after being stabbed during an argument in Erie County, according to Pennsylvania State Police in a news release.
Police say it happened early Monday morning behind LECOM Sports Park on Peach St. Troopers were called to the Country Fair at Peach St. and Oliver Rd. for a stabbing victim just after 4 a.m.
The victim, a 47-year-old man, told officers he was arguing with his girlfriend, 51-year-old Amy Lowe, in their shared tent when she stabbed him in the side with a pocket knife.
He was taken to UPMC Hamot Hospital for treatment.
Troopers said they later found Lowe at the tent, where she reportedly said, ‘Did you come to arrest me?,” and confessed to the stabbing, saying she wanted him to leave, and he refused.
The knife was recovered at the scene.
Lowe was arrested, charged with aggravated assault and other offenses, and is being held in Erie County Jail on $5,000 bail.
