LONGSWAMP TWP., Pa. — Christmas is a popular day to hit the slopes, with local resorts expecting thousands of visitors.
Some skiers and snowboarders at Bear Creek Mountain Resort told 69 News they opened presents before heading out, while others hit the mountain first and celebrated later.
Even for those who don’t celebrate — the holiday offers a chance to enjoy some extra time off.
And for many — experienced or not — Christmas on the slopes has become a beloved tradition they return to year after year.
