If you’re craving a full night of uninterrupted rest, you may want to head to the mountains of Pennsylvania. According to a new study by SleepJunkie, Skytop Lodge in Skytop, Pennsylvania, has been named the best hotel in America for sleep.
Researchers analyzed thousands of Tripadvisor reviews across hundreds of hotels, tracking mentions of sleep quality, comfort, and tranquility. The results revealed clear patterns in geography and hospitality culture, with many of the highest-rated hotels located in serene, natural settings far from city noise.
Situated in the Poconos Mountains, Skytop Lodge offers 5,500 acres of peaceful surroundings, hiking trails reserved for guests, and rooms outfitted with fireplaces, Jacuzzis, and private balconies. It’s a haven designed for relaxation, where the only sounds you’ll hear are the rustle of trees and the call of nearby wildlife.
The study also found New England hotels dominated the rankings, with top spots in Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts. Meanwhile, states like Maine, Maryland, Ohio, Montana, Rhode Island, and Nebraska each had multiple hotels make the top 60.
