The holiday season is all about giving back, and one Pennsylvania student took things to another level.
He brought a warm meal to his classmates with the help of a taco truck.
Christian Romero is a student at Brashear High School in Pittsburgh. He moved to the city with his family from Mexico two years ago. And Christian says he wanted to show his classmates and teachers how grateful he is to be a part of the community, and he did that with tacos.
Friends of Christian’s family own a taco truck. So, Christian hired them to come cater a lunch at the high school.
They fed more than 700 students.
The Romeros say they wanted to celebrate the community who has embraced them since moving to the US.
“Everybody likes tacos. There’s nobody that can’t say no to tacos. He says it’s more than, more than anything is that he’s being grateful to the institution and his teachers and his peers to be able to allow, allow him to be here.”
Christian says he hopes to hire the food truck again at some point and feed local first responders and police.
Some of the kids say they are the best tacos in Pittsburgh.
