Philadelphia kicks off the 250th anniversary of the United States on New Year’s Eve with a new, free concert and fireworks on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

The event, headlined by hip-hop legend LL Cool J, will feature musical performances from guests DJ Jazzy Jeff, Adam Blackstone, Dorothy, and Technician The DJ. Gates open at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31, for the 8 p.m. concert. No tickets are required.

After the performances conclude, the skies above the Philadelphia Art Museum will light up at midnight with a dazzling fireworks display to ring in 2026.

In addition to spots around the Parkway to enjoy the fireworks, additional fireworks viewing locations include Paine’s Park, Sister Cities Park, LOVE Park, Dilworth Park, Belmont Plateau, Lemon Hill, and segments of the Schuylkill River Corridor, such as Schuylkill Banks, MLK Drive, and the Schuylkill River Trail.
