WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) – A 32-year-old Philadelphia man is charged with allegedly stealing over $3,000 in tools from a Watertown business.

The Watertown Police Department charged Dalton Blair after he allegedly pried open a door on a Water Street business to steal tools from a secured location.

Blair was charged with the following:

One count of fourth-degree criminal mischief

One count of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property

One count of third-degree grand larceny

One count of third-degree burglary

Authorities allege that Blair damaged the side door and casing while entering the building. Police allegedly found two bags of stolen tools in the back of his 2012 Chrysler that Blair was operating.

The stolen items allegedly include a Snap-On screwdriver set, Blue Point open-ended wrench set, an additional Snap-On screwdriver set, two Craftsman wrench sets, one socket set, three Snap-On impact drivers, one Snap-On impact ratchet, four Snap-On batteries and two Snap-On battery chargers.

Blair was processed and is being held pending arraignment in the Watertown City Court.
