Reading residents will have a chance to dispose of unwanted bulky items on Oct. 18 during the city’s Dumpster Day event.
The citywide event aims to facilitate community cleanup efforts and promote a cleaner, greener environment, a release from the city said.
Unwanted items can be dropped off at eight disposal locations:
• Baer Park, West Douglass and George streets
• West Oley and McKnight streets
• North Second and Oley streets
• South Ninth and Chestnut streets
• Centre Avenue and Douglass Street
• South Seventh and Bingaman streets
• South Third and Spruce streets
• E.J. Dives Playground, 383 Orrton Ave.
The following items will not be accepted: hazardous materials, tires, used oil, household chemicals, paint, televisions and appliances.
