Familiar monikers were among the Lehigh Valley’s most popular baby names of 2025.

Jefferson Health said within its network of hospitals, which includes Lehigh Valley Health Network, Noah and Sophia were the top names of the past year.

At both St. Luke’s University Health Network hospital campuses in the Lehigh Valley, Noah was also the most popular boy’s name. Charlotte was the most popular girl’s name at the Allentown campus, while Sophia was the most popular name at the Anderson campus, the health network said in a news release.

Noah was the most popular boy’s name at Jefferson Health hospitals, with 103 babies given that name, according to a news release. Liam was the second-most popular name, with 91 babies. Those name held the top two spots at LVHN hospitals last year, too.

Sophia was the most popular girl’s name at Jefferson Health hospitals with 60 babies named that this year. Emma, which was last year’s most popular girl’s name, was second, at 53.

At St. Luke’s Allentown campus, the top girl’s names were Charlotte, Lainey, Gianna, Isabelle, Olivia and Sofia. The top boys names there were Noah, Elijay, Michael, Oliver and Theodore.

At the Anderson campus, the top girls names were Sophia, Olivia, Charlotte, Amelia and Zoe, and the top boys names were Noah, Owen, Oliver, Carter and Lucas/Luke.

At Jefferson hospitals, there were 45 Coopers, which they attributed to either actor Bradley Cooper or Eagles defensive back Cooper DeJean. They noted there were 35 Harpers and seven Bryces, possibly referencing Phillies star Bryce Harper.

The top boy’s name locally, Noah, was also the most popular name nationally; however the most popular girl’s name nationally was Olivia, according to babycenter.com.
