A man was hurt following a shooting Saturday evening outside a Bethlehem fast-casual restaurant, city police said.
City Police Chief Michelle Kott told lehighvalleylive.com Monday morning the gunfire rang out just before 6 p.m. outside McDonald’s, in the 400 block of Wyandotte Street, on the street. The eatery is near the Hill-to-Hill bridge, which links the city’s south and north sides, and the Five Points intersection.
It’s unclear what led up to the gunfire.
“(It’s) still a very active investigation,” the chief said.
The victim was taken to an area hospital for surgery and was listed in stable condition Monday morning. No suspects are in custody at this time, Kott said.
WFMZ-69 News is reporting that those involved in the incident all knew each other, and the victim also knew the shooting suspect beforehand.
Bethlehem police continue to seek witnesses and those with information about Saturday’s shooting. Those with information are asked to call the Bethlehem Police Department’s tip line at 610-691-6660.
