The Reading Liederkranz in Lower Alsace Township will celebrate the start of the new year in Germany with a pretzel drop at 6 p.m. ET on Dec. 31. Doors for the event will open at 3 p.m. Dave Kline & The Report will perform live music starting at 4 p.m. The event will feature a German buffet and pretzel bar, featuring schnitzel pieces, brats, goulash, German potato salad, red cabbage, sauerkraut, and more.

Reading Royals New Year’s Eve pajama party

The Reading Royals will take to the ice at the Santander Arena on Penn Street on Dec. 31 for a 4 p.m. puck drop against the Norfolk Admirals. The game will feature a pajama party, a photo booth, and a balloon drop. Also, for every full-price adult ticket purchased, up to two children ages 12 and under can attend the game for free.

Moon Over New York Gala

The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Reading at 701 Penn St. in downtown Reading invites people to ring in 2026 with its Moon Over New York Gala, which will blend elegance, culinary artistry, and live entertainment. The event, which will begin with dinner from 7 until 9 p.m. on Dec. 31 and continue with live music from 9 p.m. until 12:30 a.m. on Jan. 1, will feature a lavish holiday buffet, handcrafted cocktails, and live music by the BunchaFunk Band. The Reading Symphony Orchestra will perform ‘The Music of James Bond’ on Dec. 31 at the Santander Performing Arts Center, which is located at 136 N. Sixth St. in downtown Reading. The concert is set to begin at 7:30 p.m.

New Year’s Eve Under the Stars

The Reading Public Museum’s Neag Planetarium will host New Year’s Eve Under the Stars from 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 31 until 1 a.m. on Jan. 1. The evening will feature dinner, drinks, and dancing under the stars. Tickets cost $100 per person. They include a champagne toast at midnight, food stations by Anthony’s Kitchen, an open bar, photo station, and New Year’s Eve props. A designated driver ticket is available for $75.

Fireworks atop Mount Penn

Reading and Berks Festival Inc. are teaming up to host the 29th annual New Year’s Eve fireworks celebration atop Mount Penn. The show is set to begin at 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 31. The Pagoda gates will remain closed for the evening, so spectators are encouraged to watch the show from elsewhere in the city or the suburbs. WEEU 830 AM will provide a musical soundtrack to accompany the fireworks. It can be heard over the air and online at 830WEEU.com and through the LIVE365 or Audacy apps.

Tube in the New Year

Blue Mountain Resort in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County, will ring in the new year with its annual Tube in the New Year celebration on Dec. 31 from 7 p.m. until midnight. Guests will enjoy snowtubing by colorful light effects, a dinner buffet, a DJ, party favors, and a champagne toast at midnight for those 21 and older.

Dutch Wonderland New Year’s Eve

Dutch Wonderland in East Lampeter Township, Lancaster County, will celebrate New Year’s Eve on Dec. 31 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Duke’s Dazzling New Year will feature Duke the Dragon counting down to noon with confetti and a ginger ale toast. 

Dutch Wonderland has also announced its opening day for 2026. Families are invited back as the park swings the gates open on Saturday, March 28, for the longest summer season in park history.

Allentown Puck Drop

The event will take place at 7th and Hamilton Streets in Allentown on December 31, 2025, starting at 10 p.m. and ending at 1 a.m. The event features a drone show by StarFlight Drone Shows and the world’s largest puck drop presented by the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

Sports & Social New Year’s Eve celebration in Allentown

Sports & Social Allentown, the dining and entertainment concept, announced its 2025 New Year’s Eve celebration details, including half off happy hour pricing (Drink specials: ½ off domestic beers, canned cocktails, wines by the glass, crushes and house cocktails. Food specials: Loaded nachos, signature fries, giant pretzel, pork belly bao buns), a 360-photo booth, a DJ and dancing from 10 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2025, to 2 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2025. Noon Year’s Party

Camelback Resort in Pocono Township, Monroe County, will host a Noon Year’s Party for families and daytime revelers on Dec. 31 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. A DJ will play upbeat music, and at noon, attendees will raise a glass for a celebratory toast. They’ll receive black-and-gold leis upon entry.

Masquerade Ball

Hotel Bethlehem in Bethlehem will host a masquerade ball starting at 7 p.m. on Dec. 31. The event will celebrate the Jazz Age, with music by 4REAL and a champagne toast to ring in the new year. Kelly Ronalds, the hotel’s director of room sales and guest experience, is the contact person for the event.

Tickets cost $175 per person and they include all taxes and fees. Guests can elevate their celebrations with an overnight stay and late checkout. Overnight packages start at $329.

Hackettstown New Year’s Eve Blast

Hackettstown is counting down to its third annual New Year’s Eve Blast. In a news release, Hackettstown said the celebration will take place on Wednesday, December 31, from 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. in the center of downtown. Longtime Hackettstown residents and community supporters Steve and Sharon Somers will press the button that lowers the M&M’S® Ball and officially welcomes 2026.

11-year-old Giana Pichardo will perform the National Anthem at 8 p.m.

Entertainment will continue throughout the night with Joe Racz and the Brawlstars performing from 8 p.m. to 12:15 a.m.

The Hackettstown High School Cheerleading Team will perform between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m., and the Tiger Cheer Association will perform from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The town said Kids Zone will be open on Grand Avenue between Main Street and Washington Street from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. and will feature a giant snow globe photo experience, a cow train ride, a stilt walker, a face painter, a game trailer, a selfie station, New Year’s Eve merchandise for sale by the Hackettstown BID, and more.

Attendees will also have opportunities to meet the M&M’S® Characters and the Centenary University Cyclone mascot.

Food offerings will include Marley’s Wings & Things, Marley’s Cravin’ Cuban & Things, Greene’s Beans Café, Humpty Junior’s, and Brewnicorn, which will serve coffee, hot chocolate and assorted snacks.

Free giveaways will be available throughout the evening from WRNJ Radio, Hackettstown Stormwater Management, Mars Wrigley, Atlantic Health and others.

The town said visitors are also encouraged to enjoy Hackettstown’s small businesses, breweries, distillery and restaurants.
