A Connecticut man has died in a possible drowning on the Island of Hawaii on Friday.
Bryan Coppola, 62, of Bethlehem, was snorkeling with a family member on Ho’okena Beach Park in South Kona when he began to show signs of distress, according to police. He was unresponsive when brought to shore and medics began CPR before taking him to the hospital, police said
Coppola was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police said they do not suspect foul play.
