Terrance C. Glass

OBITUARY

Terrance C. Glass, 78, of Reading, PA, passed away on July 1, 2025.

Born in 1947, Terrance grew up in the Reading area and attended Governor Mifflin High School. He went on to study at Kutztown University before beginning a long and meaningful career in public education. He spent his teaching years at Amanda E. Stout Elementary School, where he made a lasting impact on generations of students.

Terrance was deeply committed to the community of Reading and supported many of its residents throughout his life. Outside of the classroom, he found joy in hunting, gardening, and maintaining the small hobby farm that he lovingly called home.

He was predeceased by his wife, Phyllis Glass. He is survived by his daughters, Marcella Glass and Melinda (Glass) Magnotta; his granddaughter, Olive; his partner, Audrey McTague, and her son, David. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled in his children – a strong commitment to education, a love of the natural world, a deep respect for others, a grounded presence, and a generous spirit.

At his request, there will be no formal service. Terrance will be cremated, and he will be memorialized privately by his family.

You watch the seasons

turning in silence,

Where seeds grow,

And the hands of your heart

keep harvesting.
