Born and raised in Dickson City, Al was the son of the late Elmer and Mary Grzenda Kriger. His dedication, craftsmanship, and pride in his work laid the foundation for a legacy that would span generations.

In 1974, Al founded Kriger Construction in Dickson City. What began as a small local operation grew into a respected and enduring family business through his leadership and commitment. His daughter, Linda, and his son, Alfred Butch’ Kriger, worked alongside him, helping to build not only a successful company but also a legacy rooted in trust, opportunity, and family values. In later years, Al took great pride in watching his grandchildren carry that legacy forward, often visiting job sites to cheer them on and share his wisdom.

A lifelong parishioner of Peace Lutheran Church in Scranton, Al’s faith guided his life and shaped his commitment to family and community. He will be remembered not only for his strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit, but also for his kindness, humility, and deep love for those around him.
