UPPER SAUCON TWP., Pa. – If you’re wondering what to do with your Christmas tree once you take it down, a farm in Lehigh County has a unique request.

They’re asking you to donate it to their farm animals.

Flint Hill Farm in Upper Saucon Township is home to the second highest elevation in all of Lehigh County. But for Kathy Fieldes, it’s the happiest place.

Surrounded by her animal friends, Fieldes is collecting community Christmas trees to help feed them.

“We offer them to our rabbits, we offer some to our goats and some to our cows,” explained Fieldes.

Goats are browsers, not grazers. That means they’ll just pick at these pine branches, which for them, is a delicacy.

If you have a tree you want to donate, Fieldes says to call or come to the farm.

“Then we can meet them out here, and then they can toss them over the fence. And then they can come for a walk or they can come in the store and we can share a little bit about who we are,” Fieldes said.
