What they’re saying:

“I saw it on Facebook,” said Riana Hamlet. She says sadly it is not uncommon.

“I wasn’t surprised,” she said about hearing what happened on a major and busy street through the township that is lined with  food spots, convenience stores, and gas stations.

“The busier the better. Honestly, they do not care. Nobody cares. People think it is ok,” said Hamlet, who has a 15-year-old daughter.

“You gotta watch out for kids these days. They are very mouthy. They will be like excuse me, do not talk to me and they will cause a scene,” she said.

“It’s scary. It is very scary,” said a woman who lives nearby. She is surprised to hear this happening in her area.

“You gotta be careful anywhere I guess,” she said.
