After the ball drops, Philadelphia is keeping the celebration going. Whether you’re in the mood for bottomless mimosas, comfort food, or college football watch parties, there is plenty to see and do on New Year’s Day in Philly.
City Cruises
Ring in 2026 while sailing the Delaware River Waterfront with City Cruises’ New Year’s Day brunch experience. The ship has been decked out into a “winter wonderland”, and tickets ($94, kids $67) include a full brunch buffet, bottomless mimosas, a DJ, and scenic views of Philly. A full cash bar will also be available, boarding starts at 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 1 and the cruise will last until 2 p.m.

Those who want to start the year off with some rest, relaxation and fun can head to the W Philadelphia’s WET Bar for specialty wellness shooters, liquid IV and hydration stations, plus an unlimited mimosa bar. Lucy’s
This Center City sports bar is a great option for anyone looking to post up for the Orange Bowl, Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl. Opening at 11 a.m., Lucy’s will broadcast the sporting events on their 16-foot LED wall, and a DJ will be on site. While there, Philadelphians can also order up bites like brisket chili cheese fries, an onion ring tower, crispy chicken wraps and more.

Front Street Café
Front Street is offering New Year’s Day brunch from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. on Jan. 1. The popular locale will be serving up dishes like an Acai bowl ($14), seasonal fruit plate ($15), fried banana bites ($14), empanadas ($11), a breakfast burrito ($17), braised brisket burrito ($18), shrimp and grits ($22), huevos rancheros ($16) and more. Coffee, tea, and brunch-friendly cocktails will also be available.

Craft Hall
Craft Hall offers a New Year’s Day destination for the whole family, with the Bowl games playing on their massive media walls and an indoor playground on site. The venue also serves up local beer from Mainstay Independent Brewery (which happens to be on site as well), and comfort food like pizza, cheesesteak egg rolls and Philly barbecue. Locals can use Resy to book reservations for parties of up to 16 people for Jan. 1.

The Prime Rib
Those looking to start 2026 off with a good meal can head to The Prime Rib for a full brunch buffet. For $75 per person, visitors can indulge in a build-your-own omelet and slow-roasted Prime Rib meat carving station, an arrangement of desserts and featured specialty cocktails by Chandon Garden Spritz. Reservations are available via OpenTable, and there’s also an additional bottomless mimosa package available for $40.

Famous 4th Street offers a prime location to grab some comfort food on New Year’s Day. Rat’s Restaurant at Grounds For Sculpture is celebrating New Year’s Day with a menu packed full of sweet and savory favorites for dinner. As a release notes, surrounded by the sculpture gardens and the restaurant’s Monet-inspired ambiance, guests can enjoy festive offerings such as oysters with fermented strawberry mignonette, sweet potato soup, and a Hidden Rose apple salad with pickled fennel, shaved carrots, roquefort, and walnut vinaigrette. The featured entrée is a 16oz 1855 dry-aged bone-in ribeye served with sage brown butter, charred soubise, and a watercress–radish salad. Dessert selections include a Dubai chocolate tart or a classic sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream and warm toffee sauce. Reservations are available for Jan. 1 via OpenTable.
