EASTON, Pa. – An Easton institution is closing out the year by closing up shop.
Mother’s Bar and Grille, just off Easton Center Square, has served generations of college students and their parents.
One of the establishment’s time-honored traditions is writing a message on a one-dollar bill and then putting it on the wall.
Many stopped in to say goodbye tonight. Customers say it is the end of an era.
“This place has been such a staple for Easton throughout the entire growth that I’ve seen since the early 2010s era. So, this place has stayed the same all of that time, and I’m sad to see it go.” said Nicole Bell of Easton.
Mother’s will close for good at the stroke of midnight tonight.
It’s been in operation for more than five decades in downtown Easton.
