Chickie’s & Pete’s at the Philadelphia International Airport has been named one of the Top 10 Best Airport Sit-Down Restaurants in the USA TODAY 10BEST Readers’ Choice Awards.
Chickie’s & Pete’s, which bills itself as the official sports bar of the Philadelphia Eagles, has been in business for nearly 50 years. It began as a single corner bar in the Mayfair neighborhood of Northeast Philadelphia and has become one of the most recognizable brands in the industry, famous for its “gloriously messy & bread-dipping” crab dishes as well as crab fries. The founders were Peter and Henrietta “Chickie” Ciarrocchi.

The chain now has 17 locations, including at PARX Casino in Bensalem, 500 Easton Road, Warrington and 11000 Roosevelt Blvd., Northeast Philadelphia.
Its restaurants are known for serving Crabfries, hot french fries sprinkled with crab seasoning. Other signature dishes include a variety of fresh crab entrees, lobster roll, mussels, clams and oysters, Philly cheesesteaks, roast pork sandwiches, burgers, chicken wings.
In 2007, Chickie’s & Pete’s opened its first restaurant at Philadelphia International Airport, located in Terminal C. It now has four locations in A-West, C, D, and E.
