WEST READING, Pa. – As the world was welcoming the new year, others were welcoming a new family member.

Hospitals across the region celebrated their first-born babies of 2026.

At 2:39 this morning, Reading Hospital welcomed its first bundle of joy of the new year. 

Baby girl “Mariana” was born to mom and dad, Nyasia and Jaheim from Reading.

We’re still waiting to hear from Saint Joe’s about its first baby of the new year.
