Upper Darby police are asking a woman to turn herself in after she drove into her partner following an argument New Year’s Eve.

In a post on social media, township police said the incident started as an argument inside a vehicle parked at a business on West Chester Pike.

Following the argument, the man got out and began walking westbound.

The female, Destenee Green, 23, Darby, then drove her vehicle onto the sidewalk, traveling the wrong way, and struck the male from behind, police said. The victim suffered injuries and is lucky to be alive, police added.

The female fled the scene and is now wanted by police. Police are asking Green to turn herself in.

Anyone who knows her location is asked to contact police at 610-734-7693 or message Upper Darby police through their social media platforms.

Police said this is another reminder of how dangerous domestic violence can be.

If you or someone you know is struggling in a domestic situation, please reach out to the department’s Domestic Abuse Project for help.

“Take a moment, calm down, and walk away. Do not let emotions turn into violence,” police said.

This is a developing story.
